SOFITEL

The hotel is located opposite Castle Hill and the Chain Bridge on the banks of the Danube on the popular Pest side. Situated at the start of the famous tourist street Vaci Ut it is close to the city's best shops, restaurants and bars as well as the cultural attractions.
Exterior
This is a modern high rise tower block dominated by glass and 8 storeys tall.
Lobby
The lobby is very large with a long reception desk to your left as you enter the hotel. Slick and stylish the reception desk has contemporary lamps in front and soft box shaped seating for guests. The lobby is dominated by the hotel's huge atrium with an old fashioned propeller airplane at the top.
General
With its fantastic location the Sofitel hotel is one of the best hotels in the city. Recently upgraded it now has a superb restaurant and bar on the ground floor, an indoor swimming pool and small gymnasium. Ideal for guests wanting comfort and to be in the middle of the city. MP04/11
Restaurant
The breakfast area is on the third floor and, as with the rest of the hotel, is bright and modern is design. The breakfast selection is of a very high standard. There is a superb restaurant and bar on the ground floor that offers excellent menu with international and local cuisine as well as a choice of wines. There is also a snack bar and cafe on an elevated platform on the ground floor.
Rooms
The rooms are medium in size and newly renovated using light and fresh pastel shades. They are kept in very good condition along with the en-suite bathrooms. The bathrooms are small and clean and bright. All rooms have internet access, mini-bar, satellite TV, telephone and air-con. There is 24 hour room service available.
